We will make the business part of the meeting short and sweet so that we can get onto the presentation.
The presentation will include a slideshow of how this year's Traditional Use Garden at the Well progressed. What went well, what needs improvement, and how to make the garden an even better interpretive tool for the Monument.
We will also talked about the importance of these Native American heirloom seeds, and how you can add these ancient foodstocks to your own garden.
In conjunction with our talk we will give away FREE seeds from the garden, (and my garden) for you to plant next year.
Pictured at the left is my garden I grew this year from seeds from the Park's garden. I grew blue and pink corn, watermelons, cushaw squash, lima beans and Anasazi beans. These crops adopt easily to the climate for the Verde Valley and are quite productive.
